Con el donativo de SíMiPlaneta en la reserva ecológica de Yu-Balcah se reforestarán 10 hectáreas de selva húmeda. Se sembrarán 15 mil árboles de especies locales, para que reptiles, aves y mamíferos, como el mono aullador o el jaguarundi, conserven su hábitat.
The donation from SíMiPlaneta will allow the Yu-Balcah Ecological Reserve to reforest 10 hectares of tropical moist forest. Fifteen thousand local tree species will be planted so reptiles, birds, and mammals (like the howler monkey and the jaguarundi) preserve their habitat.

- Instalar señalética educativa en el vivero forestal para brindar educación ambiental sobre la conservación.
- Adapt a forest nursery to produce at least 25 thousand regional trees.

Yu-Balcáh, “la selva de las mil voces”, es la primera área natural protegida de manera voluntaria, dedicada a la conservación y protección de la diversidad biológica, ubicada en la finca La Asunción, Ejido la Ceibita, municipio de Tacotalpa, Tabasco.
Yu-Balcáh, “the jungle of the thousand voices,” is the first voluntary Protected Natural Area devoted to preserving and protecting biological diversity at La Asunción, Ejido la Ceibita, in Tacotalpa, Tabasco.
Selva de las mil voces
Yu-Balcáh, “la selva de las mil voces”, en el corazón de las planicies de tabasco, se extiende con vegetación exuberante a las faldas del Madrigal, la montaña más alta del estado.
Yu-Balcáh, “the jungle of the thousand voices” in the heart of the plains of Tabasco, extends its exuberant vegetation to the skirts of Madrigal, the highest mountain in the state.

- Yu-Balcáh” significa, en maya, “la selva y los que en ella viven”; es el hogar del mono aullador o saraguato, en peligro de extinción debido a la caza
- En el año 2000, Yu-Balcáh se convirtió en la primera Área Destinada Voluntariamente a la Conservación (ADVC). La Secretaría de Medio Ambiente (SEMARNAT), entregan esta certificación.
- En Yu-Balcáh tenemos uno de los dos únicos ejemplares de Canacoite, árbol cuyas raíces ayudan a mantener un equilibrio en la cantidad de agua que llega a la selva.
- Yu-Balcáh is Mayan for, “the jungle and those who live in it”. It is home to the howler monkey, a species endangered by poaching.
- In 2000, Yu-Balcáh became the first area voluntarily devoted to conservation (ADVC; Área Destinada Voluntariamente a la Conservación). This certification is issued by the Ministry of the Environment (SEMARNAT).
- Yu-Balcáh has one of the only two trees of the Canacoite species. The roots of Canacoite help balance the amount of water entering the jungle.
